WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has discussed which WWE storyline he would love to have a crack at writing in the future.
Eric Bischoff’s relationship is a long and unique one at this point in his career. As the former President of WCW, Bischoff spent many nights plotting the downfall of Vince McMahon’s company before coming on board WWE in a shocking moment in 2002.
Following the end of that run, Bischoff spent time in TNA before returning to WWE again in 2019 as Executive Director of SmackDown ahead of the blue brand’s move to network TV on FOX. Unfortunately, that move seemed to be something of a false dawn and Bischoff only spent four months in the role.
Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff cast an eye to the future to the one WWE storyline he’d like to have a hand in crafting, a storyline that fans of Randy Orton will be hoping is a long, long way off from happening:
“I would like to, I don’t know that I would want to write it by myself, but I would like to be on the team to write Randy Orton’s retirement story. Like there’s gonna be a point in time when Randy’s ready to cash it in. I’d love to be on the team to write that one.”
“Randy Orton you know, we haven’t seen a lot of them lately. You know, he kind of comes in and comes out and holy smokes what an amazing performer, and he, not to the same degree as Kurt or Dolph, Randy’s got a lot more range than we’ve seen. He’s really, really talented. I’d love to be on the team to write that story.”
Randy Orton last wrestled back in May and reports later suggested that The Viper will miss the rest of 2022 as he deals with injury issues.
