Eric Bischoff Talked Former WWE Star Out Of Posing For Playboy

Eric Bischoff

Eric Bischoff has revealed that he once talked a popular former WWE star out of posing for Playboy magazine.

Between 1999 and 2008 a total of seven female WWE Superstars posed for Playboy Magazine, with Torrie Wilson and Chyna appearing twice, (Chyna’s second appearance came after leaving WWE) and Sable appearing three times. Maria Kanellis was the final star to pose for the magazine in 2008, with WWE going on to present a more family-friendly product.

However, there was almost another very famous name added to that list. Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff revealed he talked Stacy Keibler out of posing for the magazine.

“Stacy [Keibler] came to me, and she wanted my opinion, I was like, ‘OK, how’s your dad gonna to handle it? It ain’t gonna bother you at all, but how’s your dad gonna handle it? Because he still goes to work every day.’ And then she went, ‘Oh yeah, you’re right.’ That was the end of it. What was I supposed to say, ‘Sure baby, I can’t wait to get a look at those legs!'”

Stacy Keibler began her wrestling journey in WCW in 2000, where she won a United States-wide competition to discover a new Nitro Girl. Keibler had actually attended WCW events before this, being pictured in the crowd as far back as 1997.

After WWE took control of WCW in early 2001, Keibler began appearing on WWE programming alongside Torrie Wilson. The star went on to form on-screen partnerships with the Dudley Boyz, Test and The Hurricane before leaving the company in 2006.
