Eric Bischoff Doesn't See The Rock Returning To The Ring

Dwayne The Rock Johnson’s potential return to WWE has been a topic of speculation, particularly regarding a dream match against his cousin Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. However, Eric Bischoff has cast doubt on the likelihood of Johnson lacing up his wrestling boots again.

On an episode of Locked & Loaded w/Eric Bischoff, Bischoff explained that Johnson’s long absence from the WWE may make it challenging for him to make a full in-ring comeback.

With Johnson’s successful Hollywood career earning him $15 million per movie and relying on stunt doubles, it may not be feasible for him to dedicate the time and effort required to get back into wrestling shape. Bischoff acknowledges the possibility of Johnson making non-wrestling appearances, such as cutting promos at events like WrestleMania. Bischoff stated:

The Rock’s not coming back. He’s making $15 million a movie. He’s got stunt doubles, and he’s so big right now. He’s not been in the ring and until you’ve been in the ring — and I haven’t so I’m not speaking from firsthand experience — but having been around it enough… When a performer or wrestler walks away from the business, whether they were injured or for whatever reason… That off time, it takes a long time to get your body into wrestling condition.

Will The Rock Wrestle Again Soon?

Brian Gewirtz spoke in an interview about The Rock’s involvement with the world of wrestling while the SAG-AFTRA strikes are ongoing. He believes that it wouldn’t be wise for The Great One to return to WWE while other actors are without work.

As the wrestling world eagerly anticipates The Rock’s future involvement, it remains to be seen if and when the electrifying performer will step back into the squared circle.
