Eric Bischoff has discussed the possibility of Hulk Hogan inducting him into the WWE Hall Of Fame after his induction was announced for the Class of 2021.
Bischoff’s induction was announced on the After The Bell podcast with Corey Graves and Vic Joseph. The former WCW President is the second inductee announced for the class after Molly Holly. In what is sure to be a special night for Bischoff, he will be inducted alongside members of the beloved WCW faction, the nWo. Hollywood Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Syxx [Sean Waltman] will be inducted as part of the delayed Class of 2020.
On ‘After 83 Weeks with Christy Olson’, Bischoff commented on who might have the honour of inducting him into the Hall Of Fame at the event. Talk turned to one of Bischoff’s best friends and one of WCW’s biggest stars – the immortal Hulk Hogan. Although Bischoff says nothing is for sure.
“I don’t know that there’s an obvious answer to me. Clearly, Hulk [Hogan] is one of my best friends, and the history that we have together in the industry and the friendship that we’ve maintained. […] Certainly, if I have to sit down and think about that, that’s [Hogan] probably where I’m going to go to first.”
Eric Bischoff then went on stating there was another name from his WCW days to consider. That of former Turner executive Bill Shaw who hired Bischoff to run WCW.
“I’ve got a family that I would love to see up there too, and sharing that moment. My wife, or my wife and my kids, or there are other people. Bill Shaw, who gave me the real opportunity that I had in WCW, would be someone that I would think about. There’s a lot of people that come to my mind that make sense.”
The WWE Hall Of Fame will stream on Tuesday, 6th of April on Peacock and the WWE Network.
