Eric Bischoff Comments On “Weird” Timing Of Stephanie McMahon’s Exit
Speaking on his Strictly Business podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff stated that he was “sincerely disappointed” by Stephanie’s departure. Bischoff added that her exit was completely the opposite of what WWE management and Vince McMahon assured everyone would take place following his return.
“At a time when it’s extremely critical to at least create the outward impression that it’s business as usual and this high-powered team is going to continue doing what it’s been doing, 24 hours later, she resigns, which is the exact opposite of that.”
He went on to state that the timing of Stephanie McMahon’s departure was “kind of weird.”
“If she would have resigned before she made that statement to the employees, I’d be really comfortable with that decision. But to do it a day after, it’s kind of weird,”
With regard to Vince McMahon’s return, Eric Bischoff has previously stated that he will always do what’s best for business.
Vince McMahon’s WWE return hasn’t passed off without incident. After it was confirmed that two Board members quit over him coming back, it was revealed that he is also facing a class action lawsuit in relation to his return. The report states that a WWE shareholder is suing McMahon for the way which he forced his way back onto the Board.
