Ember Moon Wants To Become NXT’s First Ever Female Dual Champion

Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart

While Ember Moon has held both the NXT Women’s and the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles during her career, the ‘War Goddess’ now has her sights set on holding both simultaneously.

At NXT TakeOver: In Your House, Moon will challenge Raquel Gonzalez for the NXT Women’s Championship. The pair have been embroiled in an on-off again rivalry over several months, with things now set to come to a head at the NXT special.

However, while Moon is determined to take home the gold on June 13th, she also has her eyes firmly set on reclaiming the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Speaking at the global press conference ahead of the event, Ember Moon said that she’s here to make history and plans to do it by becoming NXT’s first ever female dual champion.

“First and foremost, I just want to say that I’m not looking past Raquel right now. My first goal is to win the NXT Women’s Championship. When Shotzi’s better, of course, we’re going to go after those tag titles because mama’s hungry for some gold. I told you that before and I’ll tell you that again. I’m here to make history, and I want to be the first woman that has the NXT Women’s Championship around my waist and also the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship around my waist. That’s what we do.”

Ember Moon’s tag team partner Shotzi Blackheart has been absent from NXT since May 25th after being attacked by Gonzalez. Writing on Twitter, Blackheart appeared to confirm that she was injured.
