WWE contract negotiations called out

Elektra Lopez has been confirmed as another name released From WWE.

On February 8th, it was confirmed that several Superstars had been released from their WWE contracts. Stars such as Hall of Famer Paul Ellering, Cedric Alexander, Blair Davenport, Isla Dawn, The Authors of Pain – Akam & Rezar, Giovanni Vinci and The Good Brothers – Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows were all cut while Sonya Deville was informed her contract would not be renewed.

Now, it has been revealed that Elektra Lopez has joined that unfortunate list. Her profile has been moved to the alumni section on WWE’s official website, indicating her departure from the company.

Lopez, whose real name is Karissa Rivera, signed with the company in February 2021, after runs on the US indie circuit and Ring of Hohor. She made her NXT debut on June 22, 2021, under the ring name Elektra Lopez.

Her most notable achievement was aligning herself with the faction Legado Del Fantasma, led by Santos Escobar on Friday Night SmackDown.

Blair Davenport Drops Big Hint At Her Future Following WWE Release

Following her release, Blair Davenport took to social media and heavily hinted at a potential return to wrestling in Japan.

Another Superstar released, also made their thoughts felt on social media. Former Women’s Tag Team Champion, Isla Dawn stated on Instagram:

“Here for good time, not a long time. See you in 90”

After the news broke, the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion, Lyra Valkyria shared a heartfelt message about Dawn saying:

Good Riddance 😒

We’re finally free. Unfortunately she’s indestructible and i don’t think after coming all the way from hell she’ll stop here.

Good luck to the next locker room, you’ll always know when she’s in the room.. or even the building…you’ll hear her before you see her.
