Edge To Return To Monday Night Raw

WWE Hall of Famer Edge is set to return on the upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw for the first time since February.

Edge hasn’t been seen in a WWE ring since defeating Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on October 21st. On that occasion, the Rated R Superstar went to war with his long-time rival inside Hell in a Cell, in a match that left both men battered and bruised.

The bout was a culmination of a months long feud which saw the pair clash at SummerSlam and then on SmackDown a month later. Heading into the match at Crown Jewel both men held one victory over the other.

The clash was also noteworthy as it was the first time that a female referee had taken charge of a match in Saudi Arabia. Edge later revealed that he had asked for Jessika Carr to be the official, after he wasn’t initially all that keen on heading to the kingdom.

The last time that Edge appeared on Raw he defeated Randy Orton on February 1st, bringing an end to their longstanding issues. The night before he had won the Royal Rumble, a victory that would take him over to SmackDown and challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.

At WrestleMania 37, Reigns defeated both Edge and Daniel Bryan in a chaotic Triple Threat Match.

On the most recent episode of SmackDown, Sami Zayn became the number one contender for the Universal Championship after winning the Black Friday Invitational Battle Royal. Although the big news to come out of the show, much to Zayn’s annoyance, was the revelation that Brock Lesnar is no longer suspended and will be returning to the blue brand on December 3rd.
