Edge will be putting up his most recent worn ring gear for auction with all of the proceeds being donated to Sami for Syria.
The Hall of Famer announced on Instagram that the gear that he wore for his 25th anniversary match against Sheamus will go to the highest bidder in the first time ever auction:
Hey everybody! I’m posting these pics of my Toronto Maple Leafs themed ring gear from my 25th Anniversary show a couple of weeks ago for a reason. We’re gonna auction them off. With 100% of the proceeds going to SamiForSyria.com headed up by my colleague @samizayn and SAMS to provide free medical care to displaced citizens with their mobile medical clinics which travel from camp to camp in Northwest Syria.
I have NEVER sold or auctioned any of my gear before. I have it all from my first match to now. So if you’d like to help a great cause and end up with an…..interesting conversation piece, keep your eyes peeled and Sami, @wwe auctions and myself will let you know when it’s up for grabs. Killer Jacket as always by @wornstar Killer ring gear, as always by @maineventgear
Created by Sami Zayn, Sami for Syria provides life-saving care to those affected by over 11 years of conflict in the country. Support includes a mobile clinic that delivers urgent medical care to those who do not have access to it.
The Rated R Superstar is not the only member of the roster to be putting up gear for auction as Cody Rhodes’ Night of Champions robe is also open to bids.
Edge Praises Potential Final Ever Opponent
Celebrating 25 years in the company on August 18th, the former World Champion’s opponent was The Celtic Warrior Sheamus, who Edge defeated in the first time ever encounter. After the match, the Hall of Famer would take to social media to pay tribute to an opponent who is “the epitome of work ethic.”
