Edge is back at SummerSlam 2022 and The Rated R Superstar is a man on a mission!
On a night of surprises, WWE delivered one more in the shape of a former World Champion and WWE Hall of Famer.
With The Mysterios and Judgement Day doing battle in the ring, Edge made his triumphant return to exact some revenge.
Rising from the flames, the tag team legend marched to the ring with a purpose delivering two huge Spears to Damian Priest and Finn Balor before setting Balor up for a 619, which The Mysterios happily delivered to score the win.
The relationship between Edge and Rey Mysterio goes back two decades to when they won the World Tag Team Titles in 2002.

Edge hadn’t been seen on WWE television since June 6th when he was kicked out of Judgment Day, the group he had founded with Damian Priest.
On the show, Edge, Priest and Rhea Ripley came to the ring to toast their success over Finn Balor, Liv Morgan and AJ Styles at Hell In A Cell. As part of the celebration the Rated R Superstar explained that the group would be gaining a new member.
To the shock of everyone in attendance and watching at home, this brought out Finn Balor. After all, the former Universal Champion had only been trying to dismantle Edge 24 hours previously. However, while Balor did join the group, it was at the expense of the WWE Hall of Famer.
Balor, Ripley, and Priest attacked the 11-time world champion, delivering a vicious beating punctuated by a con-chair-to.
It had been reported that Edge was due to return at the most recent episode of Raw at Madison Square Garden but plans were changed after Vince McMahon’s retirement.
