Edge Recalls Former WWE Star Never Paying His Share

Edge has recalled the one former WWE Superstar that also seemed to grow deep pockets and short arms whenever there was money to be paid.

The Rated-R Superstar was a recent guest on The Kurt Angle Show podcast hosted by the Olympic gold medallist and Paul Bromwell. The two reminisced about their time as partners and rivals in WWE, with a particular affection for their time as Team ECK along with Christian. That team also for a spell had one other member as Rhyno added the R to Team RECK. Rhyno frequently came to Edge and Christian’s aid during their battles with The Hardyz and The Dudleyz. Memorably in the TLC match as WrestleMania X-7 Rhyno, Lita, and Spike Dudley all involved themselves in the match to give their own particular team an advantage.

Not just partners in the ring, the four men spent many hours sharing cars travelling the highways and byways as they toured for shows. According to Edge when it came to things like road expenses, one of the quartet was always left patting his pockets apologetically.

Edge explained while looking at a picture of the four men in recent years:

“You can see the smile on my face. I’m with my buddies because we all rode together. We all like, whether all four of us got in the same car together or maybe not because Rhyno can be a bit of a thing. Won’t pay for a thing. Like we’ll get to tolls, ‘Oh sorry guys, my wallet’s in the trunk.’ Yeah, okay, Rhyno. But it really was so much fun, you know, when you can go out there and perform with guys you consider friends that you have a chemistry with. Not only that too, like comedic chemistry, not just the wrestling chemistry but also the character chemistry and the comedic timing, and then you throw Rhyno into that mix as this kind of, like, a juggernaut of a character who doesn’t say much. I’ll never forget that one pre-tape where he says, ‘I’ll make them bleed for you, Kurt.’ We all just kind of went!”

Edge has a more valuable prize in his sights than toll expenses when he faces Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at Money In The Bank. The WWE Hall Of Famer hopes to make that the 32nd championship of his illustrious WWE career.
