Edge “Probably Headed to AEW”

A recent report suggests that WWE have declined Edge‘s contract renewal offer, sparking rumours of a possible transition to AEW.

It appears that Edge’s renewal talks with WWE have not gone well at all.

In a report by Wade Keller of PWTorch, Edge allegedly approached WWE with an offer to retain his services. However, WWE were not prepared to meet Edge’s demands, leaving the two sides to an awkward stalemate.

The prevailing belief within WWE is that Tony Khan and All Elite Wrestling will be prepared to meet Edge’s asking price. The company have signed several significant names from WWE in the past few years, including Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole and others.

It is well known that Edge already has connections to the All Elite Wrestling roster, with close friend and former tag partner Christian Cage featuring regularly on episodes of Dynamite and Collision.

On top of this, Tony Khan is said to be a big fan of Edge. With Edge’s name value and star power in mind, it would make perfect sense for the promotion to at least make an offer.

Edge wrestled Sheamus on last week’s WWE SmackDown in front of a packed Toronto crowd. The WWE Hall of Famer was successful in winning the bout, hitting Sheamus with his trademark Spear for the victory.

After the match, Edge spoke to the live crowd, ominously hinting at an exit from WWE.

“Toronto, what I can say is this is my last time in front of you all. I don’t think I can make it another forum to get here for another match, I’m just being honest with you.”

But don’t let that be a downer. Cuz man, what an experience you all gave me. I will never forget it. And when I’m 84 years old and don’t remember much, you’re damn sure I’m gonna remember this.”

“Thank you.”

We will keep a close eye on this story as it develops.

Will Edge Appear At AEW All In?

According to the man himself, his contract with WWE expires in September, likely ruling him out of a surprise appearance at Sunday’s All In PPV.

It has yet to be determined if Edge’s current contract comes with a no-compete clause, or if he can appear for All Elite Wrestling come September, so long as a deal is agreed between the two sides.

In recent news, Chris Jericho spoke about Edge’s potential move to AEW.
