Edge Set For First Time Ever Match At Extreme Rules

Edge on the mic on WWE Raw

Edge is set for an I Quit match at Extreme Rules against an opponent he’s never faced one on one!

The Judgment Day has been constantly evolving ever since its formation at WrestleMania 38. While the group initially consisted of just Edge and Damian Priest, they soon added Rhea Ripley to their ranks at WrestleMania Backlash. The faction was drastically changed when Finn Balor joined and Edge was kicked out as leader following a brutal attack.

After Dominik Mysterio’s shocking betrayal of both his father and Edge at Clash at the Castle, it came as little surprise to fans that he became the latest member of the group on the following episode of Raw. Mysterio aided his new teammates in beating down the WWE Hall of Famer, targeting his knee and sending him to a local medical facility.

The main event of the September 26th episode of Raw saw Damian Priest take on Matt Riddle. Riddle emerged victorious, but the enraged faction beat him up after the fact. Edge made his grand return to the red brand and made the save for the Original Bro. After the members of The Judgment Day retreated, the Rated R Superstar got on the microphone and issued a challenge for Extreme Rules.

The WWE Hall of Famer said he wanted a match against Finn Balor, which will mark the first time the two have ever faced off in singles action. Not only that, he declared that he wanted to face Balor in an I Quit match.

Elsewhere on Monday Night Raw, Candice LeRae made her surprise return to WWE and defeated Nikki ASH. Full results from the September 26th episode can be found here.
