Edge Calls MVP “A Credit To The Business” Who “Makes WWE Better”

By James Holder. Published 9th March 2021.
Edge & MVP

In competing at the 2020 Royal Rumble Edge made one of the most unexpected returns in WWE history. The Rated R Superstar had been forced to retire in 2011 due to a serious neck injury, but completed one of wrestling’s most unlikely comebacks just under a decade later.

During the same match former United States Champion MVP also completed his own WWE return, appearing inside a WWE ring for the first time since 2010.

While MVP has taken Bobby Lashley to the WWE Championship as the leader of The Hurt Business, Edge completed his latest return from injury at the 2021 Royal Rumble, winning the Rumble match from number one.

Responding to a fan on Twitter who said that Edge and MVP had one of the best comeback years in history, Edge was full of praise for his adversary.

And you have no idea what MVP and the rest of Hurt Business have actually pulled off. He’s a credit to the business, a mentor to those around him, and an example of always betting on yourself. He just makes WWE better. https://t.co/9V4wOE4GGr

Following his Royal Rumble victory, Edge appeared at Elimination Chamber to deliver a devastating spear to WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in challenging him to a match at WrestleMania.

Meanwhile since returning to WWE, MVP has assembled one of the most dominant factions in recent memory. Along with their leader, The Hurt Business currently sit atop Monday Night RAW with WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and WWE Raw Tag Team Champions Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander in their ranks.

In a recent interview with the Denver Post, MVP revealed that it was Paul Heyman who came up with the idea of putting him and Lashley, adding that “he saw Bobby’s vision.”
