Eddie Kingston’s AEW Return Feud Revealed

Eddie Kingston arrives on AEW Collision

Eddie Kingston is finally headed back to action for AEW and ROH. The 23-year veteran fought for his spot in AEW, becoming the inaugural Continental Champion, and holding the ROH World Championship. Now Kingston is set to clash with another well-respected veteran that has earned major praise for recent happenings of his own.

The War King has not wrestled since dropping the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship to Gabe Kidd in a 20-minute Last Man Standing match at NJPW Strong Resurgence on May 11, 2024. This came three weeks after Kingston’s last AEW match at Dynasty, where he teamed with Mark Briscoe and Adam Copeland for a loss to The House of Black.

Kingston has been recovering from a torn ACL, torn meniscus, and tibial fracture, and was originally expected to be back in May 2025. The 43-year-old, who did begin teasing his comeback in January, also revealed how he did consider retirement during this hiatus.

Big Bill and Bryan Keith were recently dropped from The Learning Tree, but they have continued moving forward together amid uncertainty surrounding Chris Jericho’s return. Now it appears the former WWE Superstar is set to clash with Kingston.

AEW Planning Eddie Kingston vs. Big Bill Feud

Big Bill defeated hometown star Mark Andrews during AEW Collision in Scotland last month, then won a thrilling Collision match against Juice Robinson at the former ECW Arena last week. This week’s Collision saw Bill deliver a backstage promo with Bryan Keith at his side, recalling how his life changed in the 2300 Arena a few years back, only for fans to mock him.

Bill then pointed to how his life has improved since that unfortunate night, which was possible because he’s from New York City. The former Big Cass then brought up another brawler from The Big Apple, and called him out: Eddie Kingston.

“I come from a place where real tough guys are made: New York City. And there’s another guy here in AEW, from New York City, who claims to be a tough guy. He loves to run his mouth, but I haven’t heard from him in a long time. I haven’t seen him in a long time. Hell, I don’t even know where he’s at, so I’m officially calling you out… Eddie Kingston,” Big Bill said.

Kingston and Bill have never faced off in singles or multi-man action. AEW Collision on February 3, 2024 saw Kingston defeat Keith in a 15-minute Proving Ground match.
