Eddie Kingston Refuses To Give Some AEW Stars Advice

Eddie Kingston

Eddie Kingston is picky when it comes to who he’ll help in AEW.

The issue of AEW stars going to veterans for help has been an ongoing topic of discussion among fans ever since ‘Hangman’ Adam Page said he “didn’t take advice” back in August 2022. Since then, Page has walked back his comments, but the issue came back to the fore when Tully Blanchard claimed nobody had asked him or Arn Anderson for their opinions backstage.

Now, Eddie Kingston has given a reason for talent to have second thoughts about approaching him for his thoughts on their matches. During a recent appearance on Gabby AF, the 20-year veteran explained that he’s picky about who he’ll help because he knows some stars will just ignore his advice.

“No. I tell them to get away from me. They won’t listen, so I don’t even try. No, that was a joke. In a way. In a way, that was a joke. There is only certain people that I help. I’m very picky and choosy with my time and energy.

“People have known me to watch a match and then they’ll come and be like, ‘How was it?’ ‘Oh, I didn’t watch.’ They’ll be like, ‘Eddie, we know you watched.’ ‘Nah.’

“I know the people and I know they’re just asking me for appearances. ‘Oh look, someone asked for advice.’ Then they’re not going to take it and still do whatever the fuck they want. Okay, cool. I know who is who, and I’m picky with who I help. Am I going to tell you who I help? No.”

Eddie Kingston To Face Jon Moxley In AEW Continental Classic Final

At World’s End on December 30th, Eddie Kingston will face a man he knows all too well, Jon Moxley, to determine the winner of the first Continental Classic. The pair have only had two singles matches, both back in 2020 and Kingston came out on the losing end of both encounters.

After winning their respective leagues on the December 27th edition of Dynamite, Moxley and Kingston will go head-to-head again, and this time they will be battling it out for the Triple Crown Championship.
