In recent months Eddie Kingston has cut a frustrated and unhappy character in AEW. His social media feed is full of anti-AEW messages and tirades against management, booking and his fellow wrestlers.
Kingston’s assault took aim at World Champion MJF calling him a “piece of sh*t” and questioning why he was champion. Once on a role, the Mad King kept the barrage of insults kept flying and opened fire on the entire roster including friends such as Jon Moxley and Penta.
“Side note since we need to see his world champ 3 times within a hour and a half when it is a two hour show. F*ck ortiz f*ck house of black and f*ck the roster. Born aline die alone I tried. I don’t need anyone including mox and penta. F*ck everyone. Especially the “pillars “
Despite his outbursts, Kingston was added to the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match on the March 1st episode of Dynamite. However, prior to the match, Kingston aired further frustrations with the promotion. Speaking to Sactown Sports 1140, Kingston explained he may not even show up to the show and his attendance would depend on how talks with the locker room and management turned out.
“I may not be at Sacramento though, it all depends on how certain things go in the locker room with the office. Especially with my match that’s coming up on Wednesday, not really happy about it. Yeah, so we have to have a talk, me and I’m not going to say who’s the office, everybody knows about Tony [Khan] but there are others. We all got to get together and talk. I want to go everywhere but I also, yanno, I got to be a businessman and put my foot down at some point. In a calm manner, that’s what I’m still trying to learn, a professional manner.”
Eddie Kingston Sensationally Quit AEW
Kingston did appear on Dynamite, but a wild brawl with his former partner, Ortiz saw them take their fight away from the match and to the backstage area. The two fighters were separated by security and in a promo posted on social media after the show went off the air, Kingston quit the company altogether.

Kingston’s seemingly storyline exit could hint that he is set to become part of Ring of Honor and move away from AEW programming. Kingston was recently involved in the first set of television tapings and laid down a challenge to the ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli.
