Eddie Kingston has revealed that he will miss NJPW Strong’s upcoming tapings after testing positive for COVID-19.
The last few weeks have been a complete and utter rollercoaster for the Mad King Eddie Kingston. A rollercoaster that has now been topped off by a positive COVID-19 test.
Kingston had been due to team with Wheeler Yuta and Homicide at the upcoming NJPW Strong Autumn Action tapings to take on Jay White and The Good Brothers. Posting on Twitter, the star has now revealed that he will miss the tapings, and faces a race against time if he is to be available for the next AEW tapings on September 14th.
In typical Eddie Kingston fashion, the star said that his diagnosis “f*cking sucks.”
So here we go, got covid won't be able to make Strong this weekend. It fucking sucks going to test again to see if I can make tv this week.

Kingston only returned to action with AEW at All Out on September 4th following a suspension for his part in an altercation with Sammy Guevara. The issues stemmed from Guevara making a comment regarding on Kingston’s physical appearance during a promo on Rampage. The promo was subsequently cut from the show.
It was reported that Kingston “pie-faced” Guevara leaving the former TNT Champion “very upset.” Kingston was briefly suspended following the incident. The pair have since settled their differences.
Kingston’s first action upon returning to the ring was a clash against Japanese star Tomohiro Ishii at Zero Hour ahead of All Out. In the frighteningly hard-hitting encounter it was the AEW man who earned the win.
