EC3 has given his thoughts on missing his bout at ROH Final Battle with Jay Briscoe thanks to being quarantined.
Earlier this week, it was reported by the superstar himself that he had tested positive for COVID-19 after it was revealed that he and several other talent were removed from the show following pre-travel testing protocols.
The confirmation of his illness meant that the former WWE name would miss his appearance at Final Battle, however, he did note on his website that he was determined to face Briscoe at a later date when he was fighting fit.
Now EC3 has sat down with Chris Van Vliet to discuss the bout that never was and when he expects to be back inside a wrestling ring following his recent diagnosis:
“I will miss that match and I don’t want to because I really want to find out if honor is real and I do plan on finding if honor is real in January. Out of all the promotions out of all the things we talk about within the wrestling world and the art form or the pure combat sport that is wrestling, Ring Of Honor is the best wrestling in the world. And is there still honor within the ring? I don’t know. I’m dying to find out. I know there’s not honor outside the ring, I’ve been in many places that have shown me that fact. But does honor still exist in the ring?”
With all being well, EC3 aims for a January return where he will resume hostilities with Briscoe and take aim at the ROH World Heavyweight Championship.
