Jacob Fatu is set to take on a WWE star he is very familiar with for his WrestleMania debut.
As soon as he arrived in WWE, Fatu became an instant threat to the entire roster. From decimating Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton in his debut to leaving Braun Strowman bloodied during their match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, The Samoan Werewolf looks set for a major push very soon.
With Fatu failing to qualify for the Elimination Chamber, the SmackDown star will not face Rhodes in Las Vegas. However, according to a new report, The Samoan Werewolf’s opponent may be a Bloodline member he was very close to.
As reported by WrestleVotes on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass podcast, Fatu looks set to face Solo Sikoa at The Show of Shows:
“There’s a lot going on there. You know, I don’t know what everybody’s plans are, Roman and Jimmy and The Rock, but I do know they’re gearing up towards Jacob versus Solo. So, you know, after months of speculation that Solo was going to wrestle Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, they shift that to Jacob Fatu, and we’ll see how it plays out. But I do believe that’s the direction.”
On the February 14th SmackDown, the seeds were seemingly planted for the match as Fatu confronted Sikoa after The Enforcer accidentally struck Tama Tonga. If this match does take place, it will also be Sikoa’s first match at WrestleMania.
Jacob Fatu Receives High Praise
While some fans were already familiar with Fatu’s frightening mix of power and speed, millions have since become aware of The Samoan Werewolf thanks to his past few months in the company. When discussing Jacob Fatu, one Hall of Famer believes that he has barely scratched the surface.
Also on the show, AJ Styles could face a phenomenal foe at WrestleMania 41.
In a new interview, one Hall of Famer stated they would love to work with Jacob Fatu.
