The betting odds have begun for WWE’s next Royal Rumble event, with two fan favourite Superstars currently pegged to win both the men’s and women’s affairs.
Money in the Bank may be next on the WWE agenda, but eager fans are already looking ahead to the next Royal Rumble premium live event. This is believed to be held at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, per Fightful Select, which would mark the first WWE event held in the venue since the 2017 Royal Rumble.
As far as who wins the matches next year, no one knows for sure. BetOnline has, however, released the early odds on who could walk away with a guaranteed championship opportunity at WrestleMania 39, revealing Cody Rhodes and Becky Lynch as the favourites to win the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches with odds of 5/4 and 5/2, respectively.
A Cody Rhodes victory has been speculated ever since he returned to WWE but his current nine-month prognosis for a torn pectoral tendon doesn’t favour him. There’s always the potential that he’ll return ahead of schedule ala John Cena in the 2008 Royal Rumble – he certainly wants to, anyway – but that all depends on his recovery process.
As for the women’s Royal Rumble, a Becky Lynch victory would make her the inaugural two-time Rumble winner, having previously won the 2019 outing. She’s been on a downward spiral since dropping the Raw Women’s Championship to Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 38.
Interestingly, Roman Reigns – who currently holds both the WWE and Universal Championships – is noted as a possible winner; his odds are currently 8/1. Rounding out the top ten for the men’s Rumble are The Rock, Big E, Bron Breakker, Drew McIntyre, Riddle, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins, Brock Lesnar, and Gable Steveson.
Meanwhile, over in the women’s favourites, Becky Lynch is followed closely behind in the top ten by Bayley, Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, Bianca Belair, Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka, Ronda Rousey, and Liv Morgan.
