While Dwayne Johnson is one of the biggest names in Hollywood and Adele is one of the most famous figures in music, the pair had surprisingly never met.
However, that all changed at the 2023 Grammy Awards via an introduction from the show’s host Trevor Noah. The comedian was standing next to Adele’s table when he informed the audience that she had never met Johnson. Noah went on to explain that while he didn’t have anyone on hand known as Dwayne Johnson, he did have The Rock.
Adele was unaware that Johnson had crept into view behind her and the pair embraced to huge cheers. The star had previously said that she was a big wrestling fan when she was younger and would cry if she ever met the People’s Champion. In return, the WWE legend sent flowers to the singer at one of her concerts.
Later in the night, Adele was celebrating again after winning Best Pop Solo Performance for her single Easy On Me, collecting the award from Johnson. This was her 16th win at the awards since 2009.

Is Dwayne Johnson Returning To WWE?
Dwayne Johnson has been linked with a WWE return for almost a year but it now appears that this won’t be happening any time soon. It had been believed that Johnson would be returning to the ring at WrestleMania 39 to take on Roman Reigns in a huge intrafamily battle.
However, it has been reported that the star has told WWE that he doesn’t feel that he has time to get physically ready to compete. Despite this, it has been noted that the door remains open for The Rock to come back for a match at WrestleMania 40.
