We now know who’s heading to the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic at Vengeance Day!
The show opened with the Grizzled Young Veterans taking on Diamond Mine’s Creed Brothers in a spectacle of technical wrestling prowess. The Creed Brothers and their amateur wrestling skill overpowered the former NXT UK Tag Team Champions early in the match, but after Brutus Creed was overcome on the outside, GYV got the upper hand and worked over Brutus for quite some time.
A hot tag from Julius Creed changed the course of the match once again, and the Diamond Mine brothers held steady until they were once again overcome by the more tenured team.
Just when it looked like the experience of the Grizzled Young Veterans would win out and they were about to deliver the Doomsday Device, Julius Creed ran up his brother’s back to deliver a superplex to James Drake. Brutus tagged in to get the win for their team. After the match, Diamond Mine celebrated near the Dusty Cup, with manager Malcolm Bivens elated that his team had moved onto the finals.
NXT producer Shawn Michaels took to Twitter to congratulate the brothers on their win.
WOW. Tag team action kicking off #WWENXT!!! Congratulations to the Creed Brothers! #DustyClassichttps://t.co/xJKfJ3tNQb

The second semifinal bout of the night saw former NXT Tag Team Champions MSK take on the team with the greatest Cinderella story in the tournament, Edris Enofe and Malik Blade. The underdog team earned their way into the tournament by disqualification when Joe Gacy’s monster Harland wouldn’t stop attacking them, and they were victorious in the quarterfinal round in a shock upset over Legado del Fantasma when Bron Breakker caused a disctraction by attacking Santos Escobar.
However, their underdog story came to an end in a fast-paced bout with the men who are looking to repeat their victory in the 2021 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
Only one team can punch their ticket to the #DustyClassic finals. Will it be #MSK or @MalikBladeWWE and @Edris_Enofe?#WWENXT@WesLee_WWE @NashCarterWWE pic.twitter.com/mWVOAgcQg8
