WWE

WWE Evolution 2 Gets Its First Title Match

WWE Evolution 2

With WWE Evolution 2 just a few weeks away, the first match for the all-women’s PLE has been officially announced.

On the June 10 episode of NXT, Jacy Jayne successfully defended her NXT Women’s Championship against Lainey Reid in her first defense since defeating Stephanie Vaquer for the title. But before she could enjoy the win too long, NXT General Manager Ava Raine made her presence felt.

Appearing from the crowd, Ava revealed that Jayne’s second title defense is officially set—and it will happen on the grand stage of Evolution 2, scheduled for June 13, 2025.

To determine who will challenge Jayne, a mini-tournament has been announced. Starting next week, eight women will face off in four singles matches. The winners of those bouts will move on to a fatal four-way match on the June 24 episode of NXT, where the official number one contender will be crowned.

While WWE has yet to confirm the eight participants, Blake Monroe (fka Mariah May) is heavily expected to be part of the field. Her much-anticipated WWE debut took place on the June 3 edition of NXT, and she’s already stirred interest with her immediate targeting of the champion.

Monroe is set to officially sign her NXT contract on next week’s show, just in time to enter the race for a title opportunity.

AEW

Danhausen’s AEW Contract Nearing Its End

Danhausen!

One of AEW’s most peculiar and beloved characters may soon be on the move.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Danhausen’s current AEW contract is set to expire in July 2025. While there is a possibility that AEW could extend the deal due to injury time—something that’s been done with other stars in the past—it doesn’t seem likely in this case. The reason? The company simply hasn’t used him.

Despite returning to ROH at Final Battle in December 2024, Danhausen hasn’t been featured on AEW or ROH programming since. It was reportedly expected, even by Danhausen himself, that his return would lead to regular appearances. But after reaching out multiple times to creative, he was consistently met with the same message: there were no plans for him.

NXT

Mariah May’s WWE Name Change Carries Personal Meaning

Mariah May Recieves Title Challenge For AEW Dynamite

Mariah May is officially no more—at least in WWE. After debuting on the June 3rd episode of NXT by interrupting new Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, the former AEW star was intentionally left unnamed on-air. But that mystery was resolved one week later when a video vignette confirmed her new WWE persona: Blake Monroe.

Naturally, the name change sparked a strong response across social media. While some fans saw it as a fresh start for the British star, others lamented the loss of “Mariah May,” a name already tied to a growing reputation from her AEW and STARDOM runs.

But there’s more to the switch than just a WWE trademark move.

According to BodySlam’s Cory Hays, the new ring name carries deep personal and symbolic meaning. “Blake” is reportedly a tribute to Mariah’s niece, while “Monroe” is a nod to none other than Marilyn Monroe, the legendary Hollywood icon known for her mix of glamour and vulnerability, traits that align closely with May’s in-ring persona.

So, while the name may be new to WWE audiences, it’s far from random.

Logan Paul

Logan Paul Details Brutal Aftermath of Money in the Bank Stunt

AEW EVP Predicts Future WWE WrestleMania Main Event: "Logan Paul vs..."

Logan Paul may have delivered one of the most breathtaking moments of WWE’s Money in the Bank Premium Live Event—but it didn’t come without consequences.

In the June 7 main event, Paul teamed up with John Cena to take on Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso in a chaotic tag match that had it all—surprise returns, table spots, and momentum-shifting drama from start to finish.

One of the night’s standout moments came when The Maverick launched himself from the ring with a springboard moonsault onto Jey Uso through the announce table.

The crowd may have erupted—but behind the scenes, Paul’s body paid the price.

On the latest episode of his ImPaulsive podcast, the YouTuber-turned-WWE star revealed that he suffered a hematoma on his shin from the high-risk spot and wasn’t even sure he’d be able to walk afterward.

“Dude, I’m good besides this hematoma on my shin… When I landed, straight up, I was not sure if I broke both my f*cking shins,” Paul said, admitting the impact was far more brutal than anticipated.

According to Paul, even John Cena—his tag team partner for the night—doubted whether he could pull the move off.

“I’m telling John Cena, ‘Hey, I’d like to fit this spot.’ He looks at me and he goes, ‘You can’t make that jump.’ And I go, ‘I swear to God I can.’

“It was well-executed and I’m f*cking alive. But it was a really hard landing. Really hard.” [h/t Fightful]

WWE

Mariah May Is No More—Meet Blake Monroe

WWE NXT Star Mariah May

It’s official—The Glamour is getting a new name to match her new chapter.

After weeks of teasing and speculation, WWE has finally pulled back the curtain on Mariah May’s new identity. During the June 10 episode of NXT, a slick vignette aired revealing that the former AEW Women’s Champion will now go by the name Blake Monroe.

The reveal comes just a week after May’s long-awaited WWE TV debut. On the June 3 episode of NXT, she interrupted newly crowned Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne’s victory celebration, making her presence known without ever stepping into the ring. Clad in her signature attire, May stood poised on a podium among the crowd—unnamed but unmistakable.

At the time, fans noticed the broadcast intentionally avoided mentioning her by name. That mystery has now been solved.

Minutes before WWE aired the vignette, Fightful Select confirmed the new name in a backstage report. Shortly after the segment aired, May updated her X (formerly Twitter) handle to reflect the change and began posting in character as Blake Monroe.

While we’ve yet to see what Monroe brings inside a WWE ring, it’s clear that the company is going all-in on repackaging the former AEW star for their universe.
