With the news that Cody and Brandi Rhodes are to leave AEW, Cody’s older brother Dustin Rhodes has clarified his own status with the company.

Cody and Brandi Rhodes along with AEW President Tony Khan shocked the world when they all released statements confirming that the couple were to leave AEW.

This announcement followed intense speculation as to Cody Rhodes’ next move after he confirmed he was a free agent and had been working without a contract in recent months for the company.

Reports have also suggested that The American Nightmare’s next destination might already be in the works with his camp said to be in talks for what would be an astonishing return to WWE.

Now Rhodes’ older brother and former tag team partner Dustin Rhodes has clarified his AEW status on social media and confirmed the exodus won’t be a complete family affair:

Dustin Rhodes’ made his in-ring AEW debut in the same match as Cody as the brothers faced off at the company’s first pay-per-view event, Double Or Nothing in 2019. Cody picked up the win over his older brother in what was both a bloody and critically-acclaimed affair.

Dustin Rhodes most recently competed for AEW in the match to crown an Interim TNT Champion at AEW Battle Of The Belts against Sammy Guevara after Cody had to pull out due to COVID-19, which Sammy won. The older Rhodes brother can frequently be seen as part of Guevara’s Vlog Crew on YouTube.
