Drew McIntyre Suffers Wardrobe Malfunction At WWE Live Show

By Lyle Kilbane. Published 14th September 2021.
Drew McIntyre

Wardrobe malfunctions can be potentially embarrassing at any time never mind when you’re in front of a packed WWE crowd as Drew McIntyre recently found out.

The Scottish star was at a WWE live event in Washington D.C. where he was all set to face his SummerSlam opponent and ongoing rival Jinder Mahal in a Washington D.C. Street Fight.

McIntyre made his way to the ring resplendent in his usual kilt, which then turned on the former WWE Champion. Before Mahal made his entrance, Drew McIntyre had to wrestle to get his outfit off while in the ring in front of the prying eyes of the WWE Universe.

McIntyre enlisted the help of ring announcer for the night Byron Saxton who was seen in fan footage trying to untangle McIntyre from his kilt. The Scottish Warrior then took Saxton’s microphone to ask the crowd:

“Somebody want to help me get this off?”

A quick shimmy later and Drew McIntyre managed to free himself from his unruly gear before joking with the crowd:

The kilt might not have put up as good a fight as McIntyre’s opponent and former 3MB partner Jinder Mahal. McIntyre was able to overcome The Modern Day Maharaja just as he did at SummerSlam.

The event in Washington D.C. was billed as a Supershow with both RAW and SmackDown represented on the show. Damian Priest successfully defended his United States Championship against Sheamus while Becky Lynch did the same with her SmackDown Women’s Title against Bianca Belair.

In the main event, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns teamed with SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos to face Finn Balor and The Street Profits in six-man tag team action. The team with all the gold prevailed as The Bloodline won the match.
