After being defeated by Roman Reigns at Cash At The Castle, Drew McIntyre now has a new target in his sights.
Following weeks of beatdowns and attacks, Drew McIntyre came to the ring on the September 23rd episode of Friday Night SmackDown a man on a mission.
The star arrived with microphone and strap in hand, and promptly laid down a challenge to Karrion Kross. McIntyre said that it was time for Kross to have his first match since returning to WWE, and it would take place at Extreme Rules.
This brought out Scarlett as Kross’ entrance theme played. As Scarlett made her way down the ramp, Kross jumped the Scottish star from behind, but McIntyre was ready. The former WWE Champion quickly turned the tables on his rival, attaching the strap to his wrist so he couldn’t escape.
With Kross now at his mercy, McIntyre whipped the former NXT Champion with the strap before Scarlett got involved. Kross’ partner in crime shot a fireball into McIntyre’s face temporarily blinding him. As the brawl continued, Scarlett flattened McIntyre with a thunderous low blow.
Despite initially looking like he was going to leave, Kross returned to the ring to lock in the Kross Jacket to leave McIntyre laying once again.
Elsewhere on the show, the ‘white rabbit’ teases continued and Sami Zayn was officially made an Honorary Uce, much to the disgust of Jey Uso.
