One man who is about to find out about what lurks below the surface of the oceans is WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre as he gets up close and personal with sharks.
The former WWE Champion stars in a new show called Shark Rumble in conjunction with Discovery. The twenty-two minute episode will air on streaming service Discovery+ as well as on TikTok.
The show is being presented as part of the channels annual Shark Week where they dedicate their programming to all things selachimorpha.
A press release promoting the show states:
“SHARK RUMBLE, an original mid-form episode on discovery+ and a TikTok livestream, WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre teams up with Shark Week host and marine biologist, Luke Tipple. Audiences will see what happens when the former WWE Champion has his first close encounter with sharks in one of the world’s largest single aquatic exhibits at the Georgia Aquarium. Luke Tipple also returns to host The Daily Bite, a discovery+ original mid-form series with a companion podcast that takes fans behind the scenes with the stars of SHARK WEEK.”
The Scotsman may well fare better with the sharks than he will in the upcoming men’s Money In The Bank ladder match on July 18th. The match is fraught with danger as ladders become weapons, landing decks, and launching pads as eight stars compete for their chance for a world title match anytime, anyplace.
McIntyre will be joined in the match by fellow Raw stars Ricochet, John Morrison, and Riddle. Those four will also be competing with SmackDown’s four representatives Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Big E, and King Nakamura.
Drew McIntyre’s need to win the match will increase if Bobby Lashley is able to fend off the challenge of Kofi Kingston at the event. At Hell In A Cell, Lashley defeated McIntyre in what was billed as a ‘last chance’ for McIntyre, leaving him unable to challenge Lashley for the title again after his defeat.
