Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre gained a measure of revenge for his championship loss at WWE Hell in a Cell, when he stabbed Randy Orton in the eye after Monday Night Raw went off the air.
Fans who watched the post-Hell in a Cell episode in the United States did not see the act unfold as their version of Raw ended with the pair brawling over the announce table. If you viewed from Canada and the United Kingdom, then Drew’s revenge was broadcast live in all it’s glory.
After both the Scot and ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt had laid a trap for the new WWE Champion on A Moment of Bliss, McIntyre brawled with Orton around ringside and onto the announce desk.
With Randy at his mercy, Drew McIntyre showed none when he retrieved a pen from the table and brutally rammed it into the eye of ‘The Viper’ to the shock of all.
Currently it is unknown whether WWE will acknowledge the incident or tie it into the storyline. However, they have included the footage on their YouTube channel as seen above.
McIntyre’s reign of terror began earlier in the evening when he engaged in a war of words with The Miz, who had defeated Otis to capture the Money in the Bank contract at Hell in a Cell.
After the segment dissolved into carnage and McIntyre sent Miz and John Morrison packing with headbutts, the Claymore king went to war with Mr. Money in the Bank in a winning effort.
With ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt now involved in the WWE Championship picture, it will be interesting to see how the story plays out especially with the heavy rumours that Edge will also be inserted come WrestleMania season.
