Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has revealed when he plans to hang up his boots and walk away from competing in the wrestling ring.
Over two spells in WWE McIntyre has gone from hyped ‘Chosen One’ to comedic faction member before finally ascending to pro wrestling’s top table when he became WWE Champion for the first time at WrestleMania 36.
On the smallest Grandest Stage Of Them All in history, McIntyre used his Royal Rumble win to propel himself to the main event where he vanquished Brock Lesnar for the gold.
With wrestlers maintaining their careers well past the point that used to be the norm, at 36 years old, Drew McIntyre is still at the peak of his powers. Speaking to Mark Carman of Fansided the Scottish star revealed that he intends to keep wrestling for some time yet:
“I ain’t going anywhere. I’ll be here as long as I can. I’m 36 years old, everybody thinks I am in my mid-40’s because I debuted when I was so young. I still have at least 10 years in me. Don’t count me out yet.”
Drew McIntyre recently discussed the saga surrounding Jeff Hardy’s WWE exit and says he thinks the internet blew things out of proportion.
