Drew McIntyre Reveals New WWE Nickname Following SmackDown Return

Drew McIntyre Responds To WWE Suspension, Receives Further Punishment

Upon his shocking return this week on WWE SmackDown, Drew McIntyre wasted no time making his presence felt, starting with a new nickname.

McIntyre was dealing with a couple of injuries that he’s been nursing since May. However, he immediately made a quick return this week on Friday’s flagship show.

During the episode, McIntyre interrupted Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes’ in-ring segment but ate an RKO later on for his troubles. Later in the show, The Scottish Warrior had a staredown with former WWE United States Champion Jacob Fatu, which could possibly lead to a future feud.

In the aftermath of his stunning return, McIntyre turned to social media (via X) to give himself a new moniker, letting the locker room know that he’s back.

“The Alpha is back,” McIntyre proclaimed.

Now that he’s back, it will be interesting to see if The Scottish Warrior can bounce back after his loss at the May 24th edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event against Damian Priest in a steel cage match.

Drew McIntyre will face Randy Orton at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

Following a vicious RKO he suffered from Randy Orton after interrupting him and Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre furiously went to WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis backstage.

The Scottish Warrior asked for The Apex Predator’s head after the surprise attack. Aldis quickly shunned the matchup for the week, but the former can take on The Viper on next week’s Saturday Night’s Main Event.

McIntyre and Orton have a long history with each other, and it will continue on July 12 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. It will be interesting to see who will come out victorious between the former WWE Champions.
