Karrion Kross returned to WWE when he ambushed Drew McIntyre on Friday Night SmackDown, but McIntyre is seemingly the one with the last laugh.
The two-time NXT Champion made a sensational return to WWE on the latest outing of the blue brand, laying out Drew McIntyre. Kross, flanked by Scarlett, teased a showdown with Roman Reigns to end the show, marking a successful comeback.
Despite this, ‘The Scottish Warrior’ has taken to Twitter, mocking Kross’ previous main roster attire to get one up on Karrion:
“Was I just jumped by the guy last seen wearing bondage and a helmet? I’ve had better Fridays…”

It was reported hours before SmackDown went on-air that a Karrion Kross return had been discussed. There was no indication that he’d return the same night, however, nor any information to say that he’d be presented as his NXT persona, rather than his main roster self.
The former Killer Kross is now expected to be a major player in WWE’s main event scene, with a subsequent Fightful Select report alleging that Kross may be inserted into a match with ‘The Tribal Chief’ for either of his championships. There’s no word on when, exactly, such a match would happen.
Drew McIntyre is currently slated to wrestle Roman Reigns at Clash At The Castle on Saturday, 3 September, with Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line.
