On the 2nd September edition of Raw, Drew McIntyre was responsible for hospitalizing a former WWE Champion.
At Bash In Berlin, McIntyre suffered a defeat at the hands of CM Punk. Celebrating his victory from the weekend, The Second City Saint called out Gunther and followed up on his initial challenge to Gunther from Germany.
However, Punk’s celebration would be short-lived as Drew McIntyre made his presence felt and viciously attacked CM Punk. With multiple Claymores to Punk’s temple, The Scottish Warrior left the former WWE Champion gasping for breath.
Again snatching the bracelet from Punk’s wrist, the 2020 Royal Rumble winner snapped it in half, and stuffed the beads in CM Punk’s mouth, before again hitting him with a Claymore. The wrestling veteran was left helpless, and bleeding from his mouth.
Soon after, fans saw Punk stretchered out to an ambulance and being taken to a hospital, when again the Scottish wrestler unloaded a fury of punches on a defenseless Punk. While the security and Adam Pearce could separate McIntyre from Punk, the damage had already been done.

Drew McIntyre Explains When His Feud Against CM Punk Can End
After his victory against Punk at SummerSlam, Drew McIntyre opened up to Sam Roberts at Fanatics Fest NYC about when his feud with CM Punk can end. The Scottish Psychopath discussed that the feud is a long-term one, and won’t end until this one particular scenario.
He said he won’t stop, and he’ll make sure that I’ll never be world champion, and I know that’s true, until he is officially out of WWE, so we’re gonna go until one of us is not in the company anymore, at least not on the same brand, it feels like, because I want to be world champ and he’s prevented it multiple times. So we’re just gonna have to, I don’t know, one way or the other, exile the other out the company.”
While Punk won at Bash In Berlin and said he was done with McIntyre, the situation does not seem so.
