Drew McIntyre Goes Dark On Social Media As Rumours About WWE Exit Continue

Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre has sparked confusion on social media as speculation around his future escalates.

On the eve of WrestleMania 39, it was reported that McIntyre could leave WWE with his contract due to expire by the end of the year. This report on his contract also revealed that the Scottish star and WWE were a long way from agreeing terms on a new deal.

This was followed by a report that claimed the former World Champion was unhappy with creative and money.

The man himself has now added to the speculation by blacking out his Twitter account and removing all references to WWE. The only connection to WWE is in his Twitter handle.

Drew McIntyre hasn’t featured for WWE since losing out to Gunther on the second night of WrestleMania 39 as he attempted to win the Intercontinental Title in a huge Triple Threat Match also featuring Sheamus.

Drew McIntyre Was Dealing With A “Health Issue” At WrestleMania

A recent report has now added further gloss to McIntyre’s WrestleMania performance noting that he wasn’t 100% going in. The Scottish Warrior missed the April 7th episode of SmackDown due to what has been described as a “health issue.

Although it’s unclear whether the issues are related, McIntyre almost missed the March 10th edition of SmackDown due to being “extremely ill.” He was only cleared to compete on the day of the show and has earned a reputation backstage as someone who is willing to work even when injured or banged up.
