Drew McIntyre Explains Importance Of Stealing CM Punk’s Bracelet

Drew McIntyre holds CM Punk's bracelet in a confrontation on WWE Raw

Drew McIntyre explained why he continues to taunt CM Punk with a stolen bracelet.

There’s no love lost between McIntyre and Punk. After Punk suffered an injury taking a Future Shock DDT in the Royal Rumble, the two men traded jabs on social media for months before finally facing off against one another at SummerSlam.

In addition to their social media war, McIntyre took things a step further when he stole a friendship bracelet that contains the names of Punk’s wife AJ and their dog Larry. The item played a role in their SummerSlam bout, with Punk enraged when he saw special guest referee Seth Rollins wearing the bracelet after picking it up off the mat. McIntyre’s mind games were enough to earn him a victory over Punk, and the two men will once again face off at Bash in Berlin.

Drew McIntyre Wants To Cause CM Punk Emotional Pain

Speaking in a new interview with WrestlingInc ahead of his strap match with Punk at Bash in Berlin, McIntyre explained

“He just wears it everywhere. He’s clearly got some weird emotional attachment to a piece of trash and he hurt me in ways that I haven’t gone into detail about during the first run I had with WWE and it caused my career to be adversely affected, it caused me emotional pain. So I want to cause him as much emotional pain as possible because the physical pain’s easy. I tore his tricep without even trying. So imagine [what] I’m going to do to him on Saturday.”

Speaking in a new interview, Drew McIntyre admitted he will never watch one WWE match back.
