Drew McIntyre has addressed the rumours surrounding his WWE contract.
Despite many top stars in the company reaching the end of their contracts, McIntyre remains the biggest talking point. A confirmed entrant in the Elimination Chamber, The Scottish Warrior remains an odds-on favourite to win the match and go on to WrestleMania to challenge World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins. While at on point McIntyre’s direction looked unclear, fans were forcibly changed when CM Punk suffered an injury in the Royal Rumble and was confirmed to miss the big show in Philadelphia.
While the build-up to Mania is exciting for fans, the fact that McIntyre’s deal expires shortly after the event makes the story more compelling and arguably why so many are interested in regards to where McIntyre will be wrestling in the second half of 2024.
Appearing on The West Sport to promote Elimination Chamber, McIntyre provided a no comment on the rumours and reports but found it fascinating that he is the talk of the town:
“I can’t talk about that. I’ll let the internet talk about it. I’ll just keep watching. It’s interesting. I’m not the only one that has a contract in WWE. It’s just interesting that it seems to be mine that is on there every week for a year,”
In regards to Seth Rollins, The Visionary is also a top star who is in the midst of contract negotiations. Appearing at the WrestleMania press conference, Seth Rollins also commented on his status with the company.
