This week’s Monday Night RAW saw Drew Gulak become WWE 24/7 Champion for the fourth time.
Gulak would pin R-Truth to regain the title, despite seemingly not really knowing much about it.
Then-24/7 Champion R-Truth would take on United States Champion Bobby Lashley in a non-title match, losing to the Hurt Business man. Gulak would try to sneak in and win the title, before Lashley decimated him too. However, Lashley would inexplicably place the lifeless body of Gulak on top of R-Truth. The referee made the count, bringing R-Truth’s 42nd reign with the 24/7 Championship to an end.
Gulak had been traded to RAW during the WWE Draft, after appearing on Monday nights for a few weeks prior in his pursuit of the 24/7 Championship.
Meanwhile, backstage, following the match, Lucha House Party’s Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik would mention that Gulak was now 24/7 Champion in a backstage segment, seemingly reaffirming their respective interests in a title they’ve been chasing for several weeks. However, Metalik and Dorado would then run into AJ Styles’ Associate – Jordan Omogbehin!
