Why Was Drew Gulak Released From WWE?

On April 2nd, Ronda Rousey accused Drew Gulak of misconduct backstage in WWE, alleging that he’d grabbed the string of her sweatpants despite the two being barely acquaintances.

In response to the allegations, Gulak said the incident in question was an accident, and that he’d touched her sweatpants string as he went to shake the former UFC Champion’s hand.

Gulak was soon removed from multiple events over WrestleMania weekend in Philadelphia, and he was also noticeably absent from NXT TV in the weeks to follow. In storyline, the No Quarter Catch Crew made reference to Tony D’Angelo’s crew “taking care” of a former member, indicating that Gulak had seen his permanent end on the brand.

After the incident, Dave Meltzer reported that Drew Gulak’s release was likely coming soon as the accusation was a bad look for WWE’s publicity.
