Wedding bells will ring as two couples tie the knot on next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw… with a very special officiant!
Love has been in the air in the 24/7 Championship division for months, and after a double engagement on the March 28th episode of Raw, we now know when the happy couples are going to tie the knot!
Dana Brooke and Reggie first became involved in each other’s lives late last year when Dana defeated Cedric Alexander for the 24/7 Championship immediately after Alexander had ended Reggie’s reign with the title. Reggie helped Dana retain her championship for months, and things heated up on the February 7th episode of Raw when Dana kissed Reggie on the cheek. However, she said that the two were just friends.
In retaliation, Reggie took Dana on a Valentine’s Day date that ended with him pinning her to regain the 24/7 Championship. The next week, Dana laid a kiss on Reggie in the ring and pinned him to once again become 24/7 Champion. Akira Tozawa and Tamina were also in the restaurant spying on the situation as both of them have had title aspirations of their own.
The next week, Dana laid a kiss on Reggie in the ring and pinned him, regaining the 24/7 Championship. The two faced off against Tamina and Akira Tozawa on the February 28th Raw, and after that match, Tamina kissed Tozawa, much to Tozawa’s surprise and delight.
Fast forward to the March 28th episode of Monday Night Raw, and Reggie proposed to Dana Brooke. Initially hesitant, Dana said yes when Reggie insisted they not wait to have their WrestleMania moment. Akira Tozawa and Tamina were also backstage, and ended up being engaged as well after Tozawa called his bride-to-be his “earth, wind, and fire.”
The April 11th episode saw Dana Brooke and Tamina celebrating their bachelorette party while Reggie and Akira Tozawa had a bachelor party of their own. During the bachelor party, R-Truth was aghast that Reggie had let his fiancée attend a bachelorette party where her 24/7 Championship could be at risk. Reggie assured R-Truth that none of the women at the bachelorette party would try to pin Dana, but R-Truth insisted, saying that no one loved the 24/7 Championship as much as him and that you can’t trust a bunch of “conniving lady snakes.”

At the bachelorette party, Dana Brooke and Tamina declare a truce, saying that until they’re married, Tamina won’t attack Dana for her championship. However, this truce didn’t include Nikki A.S.H., who attempted to pin Dana after saying that she had brought some “male entertainment” to the party. Tamina made the save, however, and Nikki was unsuccessful in her quest to become the new 24/7 Champion.

R-Truth led Reggie, Tozawa, and the rest of the bachelor party in to crash the ladies’ fun, and he said that everyone should be ashamed of themselves because it’s not the 24/7 Championship that brings them together; instead, it’s love. He then revealed that he was ordained to perform weddings, and he said that no one should try to pin Dana for the title until the double wedding that will take place on next week’s episode of Raw. R-Truth himself will perform the ceremony.
This isn’t the first time the 24/7 Championship has been involved in a wedding, as former WWE Superstar and R-Truth’s arch rival Drake Maverick was pinned for the title at his real life wedding to fellow wrestler Renee Michelle.
