Seth Rollins has been praised by a WWE Hall of Famer for his recent work.
Seth Rollins has undergone somewhat of a resurgence in 2022. His clashes with the returning Cody Rhodes earlier this year were well received by many as is the former Shield member’s ongoing feud with Matt Riddle.
One admirer of The Visionary is WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page. Speaking on his DDP Snake Pit podcast, Page praised Rollins for his recent displays including his match against Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship last Monday:
“They put on a barnburner. When you go to three commercials and they’re still watching the show… You see the show changing, with more wrestling-orientated, storytelling in the ring. I don’t think there’s a better guy out there doing it than Seth Rollins. I mean Bobby [Lashley] is a beast, he did a hell of a job. I thought they were going to drop it [make Seth the Champion.] By no means do I think Seth Rollins needs a title unless it’s the world title or the Universal title.”
It appeared Rollins was set to pick up the victory until Riddle appeared out of nowhere, costing Rollins the match. DDP also mentioned that he has noticed an improvement with WWE’s current change in creative direction:
“I thought they were going to put him over. There were some great false finishes, some great false finishes during that match. That was my favourite thing of all during the show and opening up with it. It lets you know that you’re watching a different RAW.”
Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley also revealed he has been hugely impressed with Seth Rollins as of late. The Hardcore Legend named Rollins when suggesting who he believes are the two most valuable stars in wrestling today.
