Although Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch have been in-ring rivals and are two of the biggest female stars in WWE history, fans shouldn’t expect The Man to one day induct The Queen into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Alongside Bayley and Sasha Banks the quartet became known as the Four Horsewomen and earned widespread acclaim for their matches in NXT. As the group arrived on the main roster, initially without Bayley, their stars continued to rise although the relationship between Flair and Lynch deteriorated.
The issues between the two women were laid bare for all the world to see during a very awkward exchange on an episode of SmackDown in October 2021. The pair were due to swap belts in an in-ring segment but Flair dropped her title on the floor instead of handing it to Lynch. This led to a furious exchange backstage as the anger between the pair erupted to the surface.
Ric Flair Comments On Becky Lynch
This issues between the two women also came to involve Ric Flair. During the fall-out between his daughter and Lynch, Flair was critical of the Irish star a number of times on his podcast and on Twitter, while she later branded him “sad.”
Flair then hit out at Lynch over the use of the nickname “The Man.” Despite the Nature Boy claiming that he held the rights to the moniker Lynch and WWE have continued to use it on television and in selling merchandise.
Speaking on a recent episode of his podcast, To Be The Man, the subject of a future WWE Hall of Fame induction for Charlotte Flair came up. The star recently returned to SmackDown, winning her 14th main roster Women’s Championship in the process. When it was put to the Nature Boy that Becky Lynch could induct his daughter, he immeditely dismissed the idea.
“No, I don’t think that would work. I had to listen to that little bird that her ex boyfriend chirped last week. Jesus, really? Never mind, I’m not going to get into it. I don’t really think, I don’t really acknowledge him or her.”
With regard to the “little bird,” Flair is referring to comments made by Lynch’s ex-boyfriend where he claimed Charlotte Flair struggled with her becoming a bigger star.
