Don West Shares Heartfelt Message Following Battle With Lymphoma

Former TNA commentator Don West has sent out a message of thanks to his supporters as he undergoes treatment for cancer.

West who joined TNA in 2002, worked as colour commentator alongside Mike Tenay, before transitioning into other on-screen and backstage roles by the end of the decade. This included his spell presenting ‘Don West’s Insane Daily Deals’ as part of a YouTube show where he promoted the company’s merchandise, harkening back to his days as a presenter on the Shop At Home Network. The announcer left the company in 2012, before briefly returning in 2017, calling the Slammiversary pay-per-view.

On June 15th NewsRadio 560 KPQ Former IMPACT Announcer Don West Diagnosed With Brain Lymphoma from West where he explained his diagnosis.

Posting on Twitter, Jeff Jarrett who worked with West in IMPACT, wrote that the former announcer was “in great spirits” and “ready to take on this challenge.”

Now Don West has provided an update of his own to fans as well as thanking them for their support. West also notes that he hopes to make it back to the announce booth one day.

West tweeted:

“I know that i am going through a tough deal but seeing all of your well wishes has boosted my spirit tremendously. Thank you to everyone for your support and your prayers and your kindness and I am going to beat this cancer so that I can go on the air again.”
