Don Callis doesn’t pull punches when it comes to his distaste for the AEW fanbase.
Callis joined fellow heel and CanadianChris Jericho on the newest “Talk Is Jericho” and gives the “Demo God” a good reason as to why he decided to be interviewed by him in the first place. It all is due to the miscreants in the AEW crowd.
“The challenge Chris has frankly been I’ve been trying to get my side of it out, and the ignorant fans, as you have seen, haven’t let me. I can’t get 4 or 5 words out without getting booed so loudly that I can’t hear myself. I think now frankly it’s become a combination of we don’t like you, so we are going to try and screw up everything you try to do. This is a much more civilised way for me to talk about what is a long standing issue. I have known Kenny for many years, this has been brewing for some time.”
The “Kenny” Callis is notoriously referring to is Kenny Omega, who Don decided to backstab in his bloody cage match against Jon Moxley several weeks back on “AEW Dynamite.” Now Callis has found his new potential cash cow in Konosuke Takeshita.
Don Callis Cultivates The Most Out Of Konsuke Takeshita
Callis and Takeshita have been getting major heel reactions from the AEW crowd since the two combined forces. Takeshita’s heel turn took place at the end of AEW Double Or Nothing when he cost Omega and The Elite their Anarchy In The Arena match against The Blackpool Combat Club. Many thought that this indicated Takeshita would be the newest member of the BCC, but he and Callis have been doing just fine as a duo act.
Callis and Takeshita may remain safe from Omega’s wrath this week as “The Cleaner” is reportedly not scheduled for “Dynamite” this week. However, Omega has a tall task ahead of him on Sunday at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door when he rekindles his rivalry with Will Ospreay.
