Dominik Mysterio has been at odds with his father, Rey Mysterio, for months now. It all started at Clash at the Castle on September 3rd, where, despite helping Rey and Edge secure a victory over The Judgment Day, he snapped and delivered a low blow to Edge before clotheslining his father.
On the September 12th edition of Raw, now a member of The Judgment Day, Dominik explained his actions, saying that he’s always been known as just the son of Rey Mysterio. However, that all changed at Clash at the Castle. He said that for the first time in his life, he felt alive and he became his own person, done taking the disrespect and bottling it up inside. He also made it clear that Edge got exactly what he deserved when Dominik hit him with a low blow.
Since Dominik’s decision to turn on him, Rey Mysterio has left Raw rather than fight his son and, on the October 14th edition of SmackDown, officially joined the blue brand.
Dominik Mysterio still hates his father
Perhaps because he is unable to get a one-on-one match with Rey, Dominik Mysterio still seems to have a lot of resentment towards his father. The younger Mysterio demonstrated this during a recent live event in Monterrey, Mexico.
In a video WWE posted on social media, Dominik saw a fan in the front row holding out a replica Rey Mysterio mask, he grabbed it and looked to be about to tear it apart before tossing it on the ground instead.
