Dominik Mysterio Open To Singles Match With Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley staring down Dominik Mysterio in WWE

Dominik Mysterio would be willing to face Rhea Ripley in singles action.

The former power couple were once one of WWE’s most popular acts. But their relationship came to a dramatic end at SummerSlam when Dirty Dom betrayed Ripley and sided with Liv Morgan.

This betrayal has led to a heated rivalry between them and saw Ripley team with Damian Priest to face Mysterio and Morgan at the Bash In Berlin PLE in a mixed tag team match.

Ripley and Priest dubbed the Terror Twins defeated The Judgment Day’s Mysterio and Morgan when Ripley downed the Women’s World Champion with a headbutt followed by the Riptide for the pinfall victory.

During the match, Ripley caught Mysterio in a head scissors, which received a huge pop and left many fans wondering whether they will ever see them face off in a singles match.

Speaking to Gorilla Position ahead of the PLE in Germany, Dirty Dom was asked about the possibility of an intergender bout between him and Ripley. Mysterio responded that he would take on his former stablemate, but was unsure if the company would book a match of this style.

“I don’t think they’d book it but I’m here for it. Yeah, let’s just leave it at that.”

Would WWE Book A Match Between Rhea Ripley And Dominik Mysterio?

Intergender matches are not something WWE regularly showcases. During the Attitude Era, Hall of Famer Chyna was involved in multiple intergender matches against the likes of Jeff Jarrett and Chris Jericho.

Chyna, Beth Phoenix and Nia Jax were all famously involved in Men’s Royal Rumbles matches, but intergender singles matches a something rarely seen in the Stamford-based company.

The last one-on-one intergender bout on the company showed on its television was Reginald vs. Shayna Baszler on Monday Raw, May 31st, 2021.

However, Ripley has regularly been physical with several male performers in the past and definitely has unfinished business with Mysterio.

Taking notice, Rhea Ripley has issued a response.

In other news, Rhea Ripley has officially named her unique pin.
