Dolph Ziggler Claims Bron Breakker Hits Harder Than Goldberg

Goldberg spears Dolph Ziggler

NXT Champion Dolph Ziggler has revealed that Bron Breakker hits a harder Spear than even the master of the move, Goldberg.

Dolph Ziggler had his one and only match against Goldberg back in 2019 at SummerSlam. The bout was a short affair which saw Ziggler get in a few superkicks before being decimated by a Spear and a Jackhammer from Goldberg for the pinfall victory.

However, things didn’t finish there as Ziggler grabbed a microphone and goaded the WWE Hall of Famer back to the ring, only to be felled by another spear. Not learning his lesson, Ziggler demanded Goldberg come back yet again, but this time the former World Champion put him down for good.

This year, Ziggler has been more successful in his rivalry against another powerhouse, the up-and-coming NXT 2.0 star Bron Breakker. On March 8th, Ziggler shocked everyone when he defeated Breakker and Tommaso Ciampa in a Triple Threat match to capture the NXT Championship for the first time in his career.

However, Breakker was able to demonstrate his own Spear on Ziggler, leading the Dirty Dawg to compare him to Goldberg on a recent edition of Corey Graves’ After The Bell podcast. He revealed that Breakker hits the move even harder than the WCW icon.

“I got speared by Goldberg and I’m like, ‘This guy [Breakker], are you kidding me?’ He knocked the wind out of me, put me down, and I’m like, ‘Good God.’ This kid hits harder, and I’m not even making that up. That spear put me down. I was happy to be able to kick out and keep moving, but I go, ‘Holy cr*p.

“He’s got that in-the-prime-of-their-career linebacker closing speed for everything, not just for the spear, for every movement. When he figures out how to hone that in a year or two or three, he’s gonna be someone who’s kind of unstoppable.”

Dolph Ziggler will meet Bron Breakker again, this time in a singles bout, on April 2nd at NXT Stand and Deliver, as the former champion looks to reclaim his gold.
