D’Lo Brown Explains Why Deonna Purrazzo Is The Future Of IMPACT

Deonna Purrazzo

D’Lo Brown, one-half of the current IMPACT Wrestling commentary team has discussed who he sees as the future of the company.

Brown was speaking to The Angle Podcast when the question of the company’s future stars came up. For Brown, there are a few answers but one woman stands out over the rest.

D’Lo Brown explained:

“Easily Deonna Purrazzo is going to be the face of the Knockout’s Division for a long time to come. That woman has got ‘star’ written all over her and she carries herself in and out of the ring like a star. Always, Eddie Edwards is a guy you look at and you go, ‘Man, Eddie is the flag bearer of this company and there’s still great things waiting down the road for Eddie Edwards.'”

“Then you look at a young guy like Ace Austin. I think he’s got the potential to be special in this business and be a multiple-time world champion here in IMPACT Wrestling. The future is bright for our company. We’ve got people lined up everywhere and can handle different roles, and I think there’s so much on the horizon for this company. I’m just excited.”

The current Knockouts Champion, Deonna Purrazzo recently retired Jazz by defeating her in a title match on IMPACT on AXS TV. Purrazzo won the Knockouts Title for the second time in November 2020 from Su Yung.

Purrazzo successfully defended the championship against Tenille Dashwood at the recent IMPACT Rebellion event. That pay-per-view saw Kenny Omega become a triple champion after defeating Rich Swann for the IMPACT World Title. That belt now stands beside Omega’s AAA Mega Championship belt and the AEW World Championship.

Rebellion also saw a shock debut from an ex-WWE star who took Eric Young’s place in Violent By Design’s victory over The Beer Guns, Eddie Edwards, and Willie Mack.
