Former WCW TV Director Thinks Hulk Hogan Was “A Terrible Person”

Hulk Hogan is “a shoot heel” according to a WCW TV Director, who went into detail about how Hogan led to his departure from the wrestling organisation.

Dan Bynum, who worked as a Producer and Director at World Championship Wrestling from 1989 to 1995, has pointed the finger at Hulk Hogan for being “a narcissist-personality-disordered sociopath,” which is quite a claim!

In an interview with “The Insiders,” Bynum spoke about his time working alongside “The Hulkster.”

“When [Hogan] came in, he and I did not hit it off, let’s say,” To me, he’s a narcissist-personality-disordered sociopath, and a terrible person to have to be around. He’s a shoot heel, as far as I’m concerned, and he made me not want to be in wrestling anymore.”

Bynum then continued to shoot on Hogan after claiming that the megastar led to him taking an extended break from the wrestling business. It’s certainly not a good report card for “The Hulkster.”

“We were shooting promos at Center Stage, and it was a two-camera shoot, and I had a wide shot. It was [Hogan] and I think Jimmy Hart was his manager, and Jim Ross was probably interviewing him. So I had the three-shot of them, and Jim goes to Jimmy to do his promo, and I cut to a shot of Jimmy, and then all of a sudden, somebody’s screaming, ‘Cut! Cut! Cut!’ And then Hulk, into the camera — he said, ‘You never take a camera off the Hulkster, and you never cut too close to [not] see the pythons.'”

Though he departed from WCW in 1995, Dan Bynum kept himself involved with the wrestling business. He worked as a Director for both Ring of Honor and Major League Wrestling in the 2010’s, showing that Hulk Hogan didn’t scare him away from working with wrestlers, at the very least.

Was Hulk Hogan Set To Compete At WrestleMania 39?

According to “The Hulkster,” WWE approached him for a retirement match against Shane McMahon earlier this year. Due to back injuries, however, and also being 69 years old at the time, Hulk Hogan turned down the opportunity.
