Dionne Warwick & MJF Exchange Vicious War Of Words

Dionne Warwick vs MJF thumb

MJF has a history of aggravating fans and wrestlers alike on social media, but he may have bitten off more than he can chew with his latest adversary… Dionne Warwick!

Quote tweeting Inside The Ropes’ own Innes McVey – who was promoting our previous article on MJF’s New York Times Best Performances of 2020 appearance – Warwick expressed momentary confusion at seeing MJF’s picture, thinking she had been booked to compete in the ring!

Friedman, ever the agitator, was quick to respond that he’d put the jazz legend in “a world of pain” if she ever faced him:

Warwick bit back quickly though, arguing that the AEW star was “lucky” that she had an interview with InStyle in 5 minutes – otherwise she might have dealt with his vitriol physically. MJF ensured he had the last laugh though, referencing Warwick’s hit song ‘Walk On By’ in the process:

The exchange attracted the attention of many. including AEW President Tony Khan who added that he’d “say a little prayer for Max” as well as the AEW on TNT Twitter account which asked its followers if ‘they had MJF vs Dionne Warwick on their 2020 bingo cards’.

Both Friedman and Warwick appeared on The New York Times’ Best Performances of 2020 list earlier today: Friedman for his duet performance of Me and My Shadow with Chris Jericho during AEW’s critically-acclaimed ‘Dinner Debonair’ segment and Warwick for her witty, “martini-dry” tweets from throughout the year.
