Diamond Dallas Page has heaped praise on one particular WWE veteran describing them as one of wrestling’s “greatest geniuses ever.”
Over the course of his more than three decade long involvement in the world of professional wrestling, Diamond Dallas Page has worked with some of the squared circle’s biggest names.
From wrestling legends such as Ric Flair, Sting and Hulk Hogan inside it, to working alongside and for the likes of Dusty Rhodes and Vince McMahon.
One man who crossed paths with Page relatively early in his wrestling odyssey was Paul Heyman. Before heading to ECW and doing his bit to create as much chaos as possible, Heyman was an on-screen character in WCW, under the name Paul E. Dangerously.
As leader of the Dangerous Alliance, Heyman worked with the likes of Arn Anderson, Bobby Eaton, Rick Rude and the man who would become Stone Cold Steve Austin. During this period, Heyman became known for his skills on the microphone, something he has carried through his time in ECW and into his multiple stints with WWE.
Speaking on his DDP Snake Pit podcast alongside Jake Roberts, Page paid tribute to Heyman, as the best talker in wrestling today.
“I think Paul’s one of the greatest geniuses ever and today, the best talker. For what he could do and you look at a guy that literally has been on top for 20 f*cking years. He’s never lost the spot.”
Paul Heyman is still very much at the top of his game in 2022, working as Special Counsel to Roman Reigns as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion prepares to take on Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
